L’Ilosone è usato per prevenire e curare infezioni in molte parti diverse del corpo, tra cui infezioni delle vie respiratorie, infezioni della pelle, difterite, amebiasi intestinale, malattia infiammatoria pelvica acuta, malattia del Legionario, pertosse e sifilide. Questo medicinale è anche usato per prevenire attacchi ricorrenti di febbre reumatica in pazienti che hanno avuto una reazione allergica alla penicillina o ai farmaci sulfamidici. L’eritromicina appartiene alla classe di medicinali noti come antibiotici macrolidi. Agisce uccidendo i batteri o impedendone la crescita.

How should I use this medicine?
Take this medicine by mouth with glass of water. Follow the directions on the prescription label. Take this medicine on
an empty stomach, at least 30 minutes before or 2 hours after food. If this medicine upsets your stomach, take with food
or milk. Take your medicine at regular intervals. Do not take your medicine more often than directed. Do not skip doses or
stop your medicine early even if you feel better. Do not stop taking except on your doctor's advice.
Talk to your pediatrician regarding the use of this medicine in children. Special care may be needed.
Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.
What if I miss a dose?
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can. If it is less than four hours to your next dose, take only that dose and skip the missed dose. Do not take double or extra doses.
